  • Reservation in Admission in Colleges of West Bengal

    All Principal/Officer-in-charge/Teacher-in-charge of Government and Government-aided colleges of the state are advised to implement the total percentage of reservation i.r.o the Scheduled Castes (22%), the Scheduled Tribes (6%), the Other Backward Classes Category A (10%) and the Other Backward Classes Category B (7%).

  • K-3 Component under Swami Vivekananda MCM Scholarship

    All the girl-students enrolled in the regular courses of post-graduation, whether single or married, may apply for financial assistance for pursuing post graduate studies under K-3 component of the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme, scoring at least 45% marks in Graduation.

  • Enhancement of Remuneration of Part-time Teachers (PTTs)

    Governor is pleased to allow 10% one time increase in consolidated remuneration of the Part-time Teachers of Govt.-aided Colleges who will complete 10 years of engagement in the State-aided Non-Govt. Colleges on or after 01.10.2013.

  • Status of Sanskrit Education in West Bengal

    Government of India has constituted the 2nd Sanskrit Commission to devise its Sanskrit Policy has informed that the Commission is in need of information with regard to status of Sanskrit Education in the State of West Bengal.

  • Revision of Pension (Post-01.01.2016) of Teaching Staff of Non-Govt. Colleges

    Revision of Pension/ Family Pension of post 01.01.2016 Pensioners/ Family Pensioners in respect of Teaching Staff including Graduate Laboratory Instructors/ Instructresses, Librarians/ Assistant Librarians, Physical Instructors/ Instructresses and equivalent category of employees of State aided Non-Government Colleges including erstwhile Sponsored Colleges.
