Remuneration of IT Personnel engaged on Contractual basis under HED
The entitlement of annual enhancement of remuneration/ professional fees of the IT personnel as provided in Memo No. 5859-F(Y) dated 22.07.2013 shall not affect till their remuneration structure is further revised.

Income Ceiling for Family Pension in State Aided Non-Govt. Colleges
Raising of Income ceiling for ‘dependent’ for the purpose of family pension in respect of both teaching and non-teaching staff of State aided Non-Govt. Colleges along with the employees of Day Students’ Home.

West Bengal Freeship Scheme – Extension of Benefits
State Govt has decided to extend benefits of West Bengal Freeship Scheme to students admitted under Lateral Entry and MCA for Engg & Technology Institutes.

e-Pension Scheme for Employees of Grant-in-Aid Colleges
e-Pension system will be applicable for all pensioners or family pensioners of regular full time teaching and non-teaching employees of Grant-in-Aid Colleges of West Bengal w.e.f. April, 2018.

Swami Vivekananda West Bengal Government MCM Scholarship Scheme is introduced for providing financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students pursuing higher studies.

Retirement Age Enhanced to 62 years in College and University
The age of retirement of full-time regular Teachers, Principals, Librarians and Graduate Laboratory Instructors in all Universities and Colleges shall be enhanced 62 years.

An Act to provide for reservation of seats for admission of the students belonging to SC, ST, OBC to certain Higher Educational Institutions in the State of West Bengal which are established, maintained or aided by the State Government.
