Government has been considering, for some time past, the need for setting up an Education Commission of West Bengal to prepare the road map and perspective plans for the State’s education sector.
An Act to establish a Board of Secondary Education in the State of West Bengal, to define the powers and functions of such Board and to provide for certain other matters connected therewith.
The Council (WBCHSE) is authorized to give academic approval for the subjects to be taught in each school in Higher Secondary level and the CSE, WB has the authority to sanction the post.
