West Bengal Government Notification related to Government Holidays, Public Holidays, Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act (N.I. Act) etc.
Governor is pleased to declare that all Saturdays shall be public holidays in respect of all bank branches working in the State of West Bengal, in addition to the existing holidays on 2nd and 4th Saturdays.
As regular classes are suspended due to covid pandemic, the list of holidays is as per holiday list of West Bengal Govt. No holiday can be adjusted for months when regular classes will remain suspended.
Governor is pleased to declare 27th December, 2025 (Saturday) as a Sectional Holiday on account of ‘Prakash Purab’ of Guru Gobind Singh Ji for the employees belonging to Sikh community.
