1. Matters related to Works of P.W. Directorate. 2. Matters related to Accounts and Budget of P.W. Directorate. 3. All cases of Compassionate Appointment in the Department. 4. Common Service Branch including booking of Circuit houses and Banga Bhaban.

Forest
Duties, functions and responsibilities of staff officers in the Office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force, WB, of Directorate of Forests.
Urban Development and Municipal Affairs
To cause a detailed report to be prepared during the framing of a project for the execution of any work, stating the scope of the project, its techno-economic viability and its social benefits and the execution of any work through a contract;
Public Works
Establishment matters of Gazetted Officers, i.e. from Junior Engineer (Electrical) to Superintending Engineer (Electrical); Budgeting and allocation of funds to different units; Audit and Court Case matter.
Public Works
Junior Engineers are responsible for the execution of original/ maintenance works and maintenance of material accounts and public asset with which they are concerned.
