Thanks… (will be continue if needed)Dear fellow Member,
You could have mentioned particularly, as this can not be classified as ‘personal attack’. Thanks for your suggestion. There is no doubt that we love our mother-tongue and whether expressed or not, most of us are proud to be Bengalee. But my point is slightly different. What I personally feel that when I became a member of a forum in my own will by accepting the terms and conditions of the forum and when the forum has some rules, I have to act in accordance with it. It’s a different question whether the rule is justified or not. Even if I feel that a particular rule is not justified, still I have to obey as it is, till the rule is amended to my desired point.
Instead of violating the rule on his own, a Member should open a topic with a discussion on ‘whether posting in Bengali should be introduced’ or ‘whether Rule 2(c) and Rule 3(e) should be deleted?’ On the outcome of the discussion, if the rule is amended, there is no problem, but until it is amended, what I feel, one responsible member should follow the rule as it is.
Regards,
RayJanuary 9, 2013 at 3:47 pm #76335AnonymousInactiveBoard rules should be followed by all the members of the forum. Now, if any rule appears to be not justified, that may kindly be brought to the notice of team members by creating a topic in “Opinion” section or Contacting Board Administration through Contact form etc.
What we are doing here is called hijacking a topic. That means we are going Off Topic and distracting the flow of discussion to different direction. It is not desired for a place of healthy discussion.
N.B: Rule 3.e) is deleted. And Rule 2. c) is modified.January 10, 2013 at 2:01 am #76343AnonymousInactiveThanks to Mr. Roy and nemo, for understanding the problem of the members who are not comfortable in English. I know discipline makes a man almost perfect. But I just want to say do not point out somebody’s weakness repeatedly, when we understand his/her weakness. Several times in this forum some members are violating Rule-3(b), in that cases maximum time we remains silent. Because, this is a +ve violations of rule, we are very glad to call me ‘Sir’ and this is natural. Actually we have to find out the reason for what somebody violating a rule. Unless, otherwise we all becomes a machine instead of a good friend. ok, again thanks to all my dear friends.
January 10, 2013 at 2:42 pm #76346AnonymousInactiveDear friend, I like to say something about the fact. I think I am very poor in english, it is not only my thinking but also it is right. If you read my posts then you may guess it. When I write a letter then I feel it, write something about a topic I feel it. We know most of us, so called educated persons in West Bengal are weak in english. Then the question arises why I am writting in english. Again I think english is an easy language. If a common people in some states of India can say in english then why we can not? There may be some mistake. So what. We are not giving any language exam. I think we are poor in english as we don’t use it frequently. If we use it regularly then it will be easier for us. I think after being a member of this forum I am feeling myself better in english. I never uses english so frequenly before being a member of this forum. I know, there may have many grammatical mistakes and spelling mistake in my posts. Therefore I request all the friends cum members of this forum to use english for your own profit. Thanks to all.
