DPPG, WB will Credit Interest into GPF of Gr. D Employees
DPPG,WB will generate the Interest Transfer Credit Bill in TR Form No. 43 within the 10th of every month for the subscriber whose Final Payment of GPF has been drawn during the preceding month on the basis of Final Payment Authority of GPF issued from DPPG.

Suspension of Classes Due to Heat Wave and Cyclonic Storm
Due to predicted severe cyclonic storm Foni likely to hit coastal areas of West Bengal and extreme hot weather conditions prevailing in the State, classes will remain suspended in all Govt., Govt. Sponsored and Non-Govt. aided schools from 3rd May, 2019 to 30th June, 2019.

Suspension of Classes in Madrasah due to Cyclonic Storm
All Govt. and Non-Govt. aided-Madrasahs located in Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram, South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly and Kolkata shall remain closed on 3rd May and 4th May, 2019.

“MANABIK” Pension Scheme, 2018
MANABIK Pension Scheme, 2018 is applicable for the person having 50% or more disability and the annual family income of the person with disability does not exceed Rs. 1,00,000.00 (Rupees One lakh) per annum.

Change in Monthly Contribution towards New Pension Scheme
State Government will make a monthly contribution of 14% of the Basic Pay plus DA. However, the employees’ contribution would remain unchanged i.e. 10% of the Basic Pay plus DA.

One Time Waiver of Penalty On Tax on Motor Vehicles Scheme
State Government in the Transport Department has decided to provide one time opportunity to the owners of such defaulting motor vehicles to pay the due amount of motor vehicle tax and/or additional tax/one-time tax without payment of penalty.

It is advised that a separate Project Management Unit (PMU) be constituted in the Department of Agriculture with officers and consultants drafted from the Directorate of Agricultural Marketing.

Rate of Interest on GPF (01.04.2019 to 30.06.2019)
During the period from 01.04.2019 to 30.06.2019, accumulation at the credit of the subscribers to General Provident Fund and other similar funds shall carry interest at the rate of 8% per annum.

200th Birth Anniversary of Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar
Vidyasagar Week will be observed from 20.09.2019 to 26.09.2019 in all the Govt./ Govt Sponsored/ Aided Schools and Colleges in West Bengal. During this week, essay competition, cultural function, exhibition on photography on Vidyasagar and seminar will be organised.

Text Books of classes IX & X applicable for academic session 2019 published by WBBME for both Bengali and Urdu Mediums will be available at 20% rebate on printed price by depositing required amount through SBI in favour of WBBME.
